Meet the Photographer

Hi. My name is Angie Tinto-Hamood

If you spot me at a hockey rink, baseball field, or anywhere action is happening, you’ll probably see this version of my "face" — the one my neighbour  calls “Here comes Sports Illustrated.” I can’t help it. When there’s movement, emotion, or a great moment unfolding, I’m already framing the shot in my mind.

Photography has been part of my life since I was a kid. My father — featured in the first photo below — was the original family photographer. I grew up in front of rolls of film, stacks of batteries, and his endless enthusiasm for capturing every possible variation of a family pose. At the time, I didn’t fully appreciate it. Now, those photos are some of my most cherished memories.

Today, that early love for photography is at the heart of everything I do. I photograph on location or from my small home‑based studio in Upper Tantallon, NS — just 20 minutes from downtown Halifax. Whether I’m working with athletes, families, graduates, or professionals, my goal is always the same: freeze a moment, preserve a feeling, and create images that feel real, meaningful, and full of life.
